Responding to DMK MP KANIMAZHI’S question about whether the present government would remove the exception of marital rape to the legal definition of rape in the Indian Penal Code, Chaudhary wrote, “It is considered that the concept of marital rape, as understood internationally, cannot be suitably applied in the Indian context due to various factors, including level of education, illiteracy, poverty, myriad social customs and values, religious beliefs, mindset of the society to treat the marriage as a sacrament.”
So according to our sensible Minister marriage is sacred and it is a blessing.
Ohhh! Ya obviously! It is a blessing, but for men only! Because all these men get the right to fuck that lady anytime.
There is nothing like marital rape in their dictionary that’s why there is no clause for the same.
For women it is a curse, as she cannot deny him, as he is her husband, parmatma, everything to her, whatever he wants she have to give him. You know why because marriage is sacred.
By the way Mr Chaudhary how does these factors like level of education, illiteracy, poverty, myriad social customs and values, religious beliefs, mindset of the society connected to marital rape? This statement actually made me think
Then my mind says Whether he is rich or poor, educated or illiterate, Indian or non resident of India or whatever, he is going to do the same thing, these factors cannot change the mentality of men, desperateness of men, turn the non consensual sex into marriage, consensual…right?
There should be consent among married couple engaging into sexual intercourse… tell me is that a bad idea??? Or is it not something serious to be discussed upon?
KANIMOZHI had also said that according to United Nations Population Fund that 75 per cent of the married women in India were subjected to marital rape.
So MR CHAUDHARY and others in the parliament don’t you think it is the most important issue to be discussed and sorted?
