Harshit Gupta is an engineer by education and social entrepreneur by choice. He is the founder of non-profit organization: Womenite, working to create an equal society through education, love and empowerment. He has been working on the issues of gender, child sexual abuse and menstrual hygiene as a part of his team. Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India facilitated him with the National Youth Award in January 2018.
Harshit is a TEDx speaker where we talked about Why women’s issues are not just women’s issues. He was chosen as the highly commended runners-up for the Queen’s Young Leader Award 2017. He has taken part at UNLEASH, a global innovation lab for SDGs and has been selected for the Young Connectors of the Future program scheduled in September 2018 in Sweden.
He is passionate about SDGs specially SDG 5 and SDG 4 and has worked for the #HeForShe campaign in the past.
